Overview

Thought Ignite ("we", "us") provides live online preparation for IELTS, PTE Core and CELPIP, and free AI practice tools for speaking and writing. This policy covers the website at thoughtignite.com, our AI practice tools, and how we handle information when you use them or contact us.

Information we collect

We collect information in these ways:

• Information you give us directly — if you message us on WhatsApp or email, we see whatever you choose to share (your name, contact details, and the content of your message).
• Practice answers — when you use our AI Speaking or Writing Coach, we receive the answers, notes and stories you type or dictate, the task you chose, and the feedback that is created.
• Contact details for follow-up — only if you choose to give them, for example to receive more practice or book a free assessment.
• Usage data — like most websites, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site (pages viewed, general location and device type, and similar aggregate data). This does not identify you personally.

AI practice tools

Our AI Speaking and Writing Coaches use an artificial intelligence service to create practice feedback. When you ask for feedback, your answer is sent to that service so it can produce a practice level estimate, suggested improvements and example rewrites.

• Feedback is created automatically by AI. It is a practice estimate only, not an official test score, and it may contain mistakes.
• We do not use your answers to train AI models, and we choose AI providers whose terms do not allow them to train on the data we send.
• Please don't include personal details you don't want to share, such as ID numbers, addresses or health information, in your practice answers.
• We don't save your practice answers or feedback on our website. Our AI service doesn't keep them once your feedback has been created, unless it must do so for legal or security reasons.

Cookies

This site uses a small number of cookies set by Google Analytics, and only after you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, analytics cookies are not set. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's cookies for this site, which will show the banner again. Our AI tools may also save small settings, such as your chosen explanation language, in your own browser.

How we use information

We use the information you send us to respond to your questions, to create practice feedback, and, if you enrol, to deliver the program (sessions are held live over Google Meet). We use analytics data only to understand and improve how the website is used. We never sell your information.

Messages from us

We only send you promotional emails or WhatsApp messages if you have clearly agreed to receive them. Every message identifies Thought Ignite and gives you an easy way to stop receiving them, and we act on your request promptly. Replying to a question you asked us is not a promotional message.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of third-party services to run this site, our AI tools and our programs:

• An AI service provider (currently Cloudflare Workers AI) — to create practice feedback in our AI tools.
• Website hosting (Cloudflare) — to deliver this site securely.
• WhatsApp Business — for click-to-chat messaging.
• Google Analytics — for website usage statistics.
• Google Meet — for live session delivery.

Some of these providers may store or process information outside your province or country, where different privacy laws apply. Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

Data retention and security

We keep messages and enrolment information only as long as needed to communicate with you and deliver the program, and practice answers as described above. We take reasonable steps to keep this information secure, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices

You can decline analytics cookies at any time via the cookie banner, and unsubscribe from our messages at any time. You can also ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing us at the address below.

Children

Our website and AI tools are meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent change.
